HAMILTON- Half-a-dozen men running for Montana governor are confirmed to appear at a candidates' forum in Hamilton later this month.
It's one of the first times we will have seen multiple candidates in the contest to be Montana's next governor all in the same location at the same time.
The forum is being organized by Conservatives United, a group describing itself as non-partisan with "strong beliefs in the Constitution."
The group has organized the candidate's forum for all parties from all candidates, with five Republicans and one Libertarian having already confirmed they'll be there. Already set to appear are Republicans Ken Miller, Jim Lynch, Neil Livingstone, Jim O'Hara and former Senate Majority Leader Corey Stapleton. The sixth candidate is Libertarian Ron Vandevender.
Organizers say they're still waiting to hear back from the remainder of the GOP candidates, as well as Democrats Steve Bullock and Larry Jent.
The forum is scheduled for February 23rd, starting with a meet and greet with the candidates at 6 p.m. and the forum starting at 7 p.m. The event will be held in the Hamilton Aviation hanger at the Ravalli County Airport.
