Mark Holyoak anchors the 5:30 and 10:00 News. He joined KPAX in January of 2003 and was honored as the 2006 and 2005 Montana Broadcasters Association "Commercial Television Program of the Year" award winner for his "Outdoors" series. Mark was also named the 2004 Montana Broadcasters Association "Television Broadcaster of the Year."
Before coming to Missoula, Mark was a sportscaster in Spokane, Washington, and Topeka, Kansas. That gave him the opportunity to cover a wide array of events including fourteen consecutive NCAA basketball tournaments and two Final Fours, the Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, College World Series, NFL playoffs, Major League Baseball playoffs, and the National Hot Rod Association.
Mark has lived in six different states and three different countries but says Montana is, by far, his favorite place to live. He'll tell you his favorite things to do include spending time with his wife and four children, fly fishing, playing hockey, hiking, hunting, eating Italian food and doing anything in or on the Bitterroot River.
Among his Missoula highlights are shooting the now-famous trampoline bear video, riding along with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and being part of two Glacier Hockey League championships.
