MISSOULA- This week's One Class at a Time grant from Montana's News Station is bringing history to life for some Big Sky High School students. Aaron Bay from Allegiance Benefit Plan Management and Montana's News Station General Manager Bob Hermes presented Cameron Johnson with the $250 check.
Some 180 juniors and seniors will now be learning from a Brown University program called 'choices', a collection of books, debate material and primary documents from historical events throughout U.S. history. Johnson says his students are excited to learn about their country's history when it's presented this way.
"The nice thing about this program is that it exposes the students to these documents and pivotal time periods, writings, and people that were influential in an engaging way," the government and U.S. history teacher told us.
