COLUMBIA FALLS- Law enforcement was out searching for a man that may have been trying to burglarize a Columbia Falls house early Friday morning.

Two men at a home on Mountain Avenue thought someone was trying to break into their house around 1:30 a.m.

Both men came out of the house and allegedly a burglar hit one of the men with a 2x4 that left marks to his face and stomach.

It was reported that the burglar took off in a Blue Chevy S10 with 4 other men inside.

The Flathead County Sheriff's Department, Columbia Falls Police Department and Montana Highway Patrol searched for the suspect but came up empty handed.
